They are also able to create a positive and engaging classroom environment that fosters learning and growth. Love of Teaching and the Subject They Teach Exceptional teachers in British Columbia have a genuine love of teaching and the subject they teach. They are passionate about their work and are committed to helping their students succeed. They are able to create a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages their students to be curious and explore new ideas. They are also able to inspire their students to achieve their full potential and to pursue their passions. Resilience Exceptional teachers in British Columbia possess resilience. They are able to handle the challenges and pressures of their job with grace and determination. They are able to adapt to changing circumstances and are always willing to learn and grow - they have a growth mindset. They are also able to bounce back from setbacks and to persevere through difficult times. Love of a Challenge Exceptional teachers in British Columbia have a love of a challenge. They are always looking for new and innovative ways to engage their students and to improve their teaching. They are willing to take risks and to try new things, even if they may not always work out. They are able to acknowledge their strengths and weaknesses and are always looking for ways to improve. They are also able to accept feedback and criticism and are willing to learn from their mistakes. They are able to put the needs of their students first and are committed to helping them succeed.
